The client managed project tasks entirely through manual processes, creating operational inefficiencies across multiple projects. Teams spent considerable time creating, assigning, and tracking tasks, which reduced productivity and slowed project execution. The absence of automation led to a heavy reliance on human input, increasing the risk of errors and inconsistencies in task data. Additionally, task formats varied between projects, making it difficult to maintain standardized workflows and ensure accurate reporting. Real-time visibility into newly created or updated tasks was also limited, affecting collaboration and decision-making.

How we made it happen
To address these challenges, the team designed an AI-powered task automation solution using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Apps, Dataverse, and Power Platform. The implementation began with establishing a structured data model in Dataverse to store task information securely. A Copilot agent was then developed to understand natural language requests and automatically generate tasks from user input. Validation logic was incorporated through automated agent flows to ensure data accuracy before records were stored.
