Business Process Challenges
NeuCart, a rapidly growing retail and e-commerce platform serving more than 500,000 customers across India and Southeast Asia, relied on Microsoft PowerApps and Power Automate to manage critical business operations including order processing, inventory management, and customer service workflows. As transaction volumes increased, the company began experiencing quality and reliability issues that directly impacted customer experience and operational efficiency.
Several Power Automate workflows were failing silently during high-volume transactions, particularly for high-value orders. These failures resulted in delayed order confirmations, fulfillment bottlenecks, and increased customer support requests. At the same time, the PowerApps-based shopping experience contained untested edge cases involving coupon calculations, checkout processes, and payment gateway timeout scenarios that posed a risk to revenue generation.
NeuCart also lacked a structured regression testing framework. New releases frequently introduced unexpected issues into previously stable features, creating uncertainty around deployments. Additionally, role-based access controls for administrators, warehouse personnel, and customer service teams had never undergone comprehensive end-to-end validation, creating governance and security concerns.
With a major holiday sales event approaching, NeuCart needed a scalable QA strategy capable of identifying defects, validating business-critical workflows, and ensuring platform stability under peak traffic conditions before production deployment.
Our Strategic Approach
Softree Technology implemented a comprehensive quality assurance framework designed specifically for NeuCart's Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem. The engagement began with a detailed assessment of business processes, application architecture, user roles, and automation workflows to identify critical testing priorities and risk areas.
The team developed more than 280 test cases covering the entire customer journey, including product discovery, cart management, checkout, payments, order tracking, returns processing, and administrative operations. Simultaneously, all 15 Power Automate workflows were mapped and validated across normal, exception, and boundary conditions to eliminate silent failures and ensure process reliability.
Using Microsoft PowerApps, Power Automate, SharePoint Online, Azure DevOps, Jira, and Power BI, Softree established a structured testing lifecycle that included functional testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), performance validation, and security verification. A reusable regression suite containing 120 high-priority test scenarios was created to support future releases and reduce testing effort.
The team also executed load testing to simulate peak shopping demand exceeding 5,000 concurrent users while validating role-based access permissions across all business personas. Continuous defect tracking, prioritization, and collaboration with development teams ensured that critical issues were resolved quickly and efficiently before go-live.

During NeuCart's major holiday sales event, the platform successfully supported 5,200+ concurrent users without critical incidents, order failures, or fulfillment disruptions. The project provided NeuCart with a scalable QA foundation, improved governance, and a repeatable testing strategy that continues to support future platform growth and digital transformation initiatives.
