A leading industrial cutting tools manufacturer relied on manual leave request processes that created administrative delays, limited visibility, and inconsistent approval workflows across departments. Employees submitted leave requests through email and paper-based forms, making tracking and reporting difficult for HR teams.
Managers lacked a centralized system to review employee leave balances, approve requests, and monitor workforce availability. This often resulted in communication gaps, approval bottlenecks, and increased administrative overhead.
The organization required a secure, scalable solution that could streamline leave management while integrating with existing Microsoft technologies and providing role-based access for employees, managers, and administrators.

How we made it happen
Softree designed and implemented a cloud-based Employee Leave Management System using Microsoft Power Platform. The solution leveraged Power Apps for the user interface, Power Automate for workflow automation, SharePoint Lists for secure data storage, and Office 365 services for authentication and notifications.
The application was built with separate experiences for employees and managers. Employees could submit leave requests, review leave balances, and track approval status in real time. Managers received automated notifications and could review, approve, or reject requests from a centralized dashboard.
Automated approval workflows reduced manual intervention while ensuring policy compliance and auditability. Role-based security controls were implemented to provide secure access across the organization.
