Managing audio equipment across multiple venues for the 2026 Winter Olympics required accurate inventory tracking and complete visibility throughout the event lifecycle. Equipment was frequently transferred between warehouses, venues, and support teams, but movements outside the core ERP system lacked real-time traceability.
Manual transfer processes made it difficult to identify the current location of assets, resulting in delays, duplicate records, and increased effort during inventory audits. Staff often had to search across multiple locations before finding the correct equipment, slowing event operations and increasing the risk of misplaced or missing assets.

Softree developed a Power Apps Canvas application that enabled warehouse and event operations teams to scan barcodes and serial numbers directly from their mobile devices. The solution integrated seamlessly with Microsoft Dataverse and Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations to maintain a single source of truth for inventory data.
Power Automate workflows were implemented to automate transfer journal creation, validate inventory availability, and synchronize updates between business systems in real time. The application supported both inbound and outbound equipment transfers while providing instant visibility into current asset locations.
The mobile-first interface was designed for fast, reliable scanning in busy operational environments, helping users complete inventory transfers with minimal manual input and improved accuracy.
